Events - Event View

Register for the monthly float fly event(s) to get updates in case there is a cancellation or delay due to weather.

In mid-season they have a gate attendant at the entrance, but if you tell them you are there for our event there will be no admission charge. The gate should be open at 8:00am if not, they will be by soon.  We begin at 8:00am during the warm months, and 9:00am during the cooler months. Start time or alternate date will be posted by Wednesday before the event.
 
There are limited facilities at the Park. There are Port-O-Lets, but no running water or electrical power. Remember to bring charged batteries or some way to charge them from your car. There is only one picnic table, so bringing a folding table and a chair is a good idea. This area is a designated FRIA site, so, no transponder is required. CCRC and AMA rules apply to this location. Further, since we may be sharing the site with the public, remember that bathers, fishermen, etc. have the right of way and we must stay clear of them. Although, since our activities are normally between 8:00 am and 11:00am, there is usually no one else present.  
 
We will bring either the rescue boat or a kayak in case we must recover a downed aircraft. In addition to flying planes, we can also run boats. Technically, this is a designated no-motor boat lake, so we normally only use electric devices.
